3rd Annual Schoolhouse Hustle: April 9, 2016

The Citrus County Education Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Schoolhouse Hustle to be held on April 9th, 2016 at Crest School in Lecanto (2600 S. Panther Pride Dr.).

Schoolhouse Hustle 2016 will feature: 5K & 10K races, a 1 Mile Walk with Superintendent Himmel, a family health expo, a YMCA Kid Zone, Mascot Olympics, Finisher Medals and School Spirit Competition*.

All ages, all speeds are welcome to attend and participants are encouraged to wear their school colors (prizes for “Most Spirited”).

The YMCA will once again be providing free child care for runners.  Student runners/walkers are also welcome to enjoy the kid zone after their race/walk.  The zone will include bounce houses, games, activities, treats and more.  You can preregister for the YMCA Kids Zone by filling out this form YMCA Kids Zone Registration 2016 and returning it to the YMCA office in Beverly Hills.  Waivers will also be available at the event.

Event proceeds benefited the Citrus County Education Foundation (“CCEF”), a 501(c)(3) dedicated to supporting prekindergarten through twelfth grade educational programs in Citrus County.
*School Spirit Competition:  Every runner and walker can designate a school to participate on behalf of.  The schools with the most participants will win the spirit trophy and $1,000.  One prize will be awarded to the school with the most participants overall.  The other prize will be given to the school with the highest participant / student ratio (based on student enrollment at that school).  Limit one prize per school.  All participants can designate a school.  You do not need to be a student or staff member of your designated school.
